Seeing is Believing:
Mixed Reality Immersive Learning
Seeing is Believing: Mixed Reality Immersive Learning is a project in collaboration with Riverley Primary School in Waltham Forest, London. Organised as a series of workshops over 6 months, we have been working with children aged 5 to 12, to develop their knowledge in STEM and Design Technology areas through the use of key mixed reality technologies and digital fabrication processes. The children are introduced to VR models of scientific data, which they then re-make and re-imagine through physical making. We then mapped augmented reality content over the physical artefacts made by children, allowing them to see their creations come to life as part of an immersive learning process. Ultimately, their creations will be re-introduced into VR.
